Alan R Jones is a writer, theologian, and creative thinker whose work bridges the ancient and the contemporary, bringing a fresh voice to enduring questions of meaning, faith, and wonder. Known for weaving biblical depth with philosophical insight and poetic rhythm, Alan invites audiences on a journey through the “mesotopia”—the radical middle ground where intellect, irony, and faith converge.
Alan trained as a graphic designer, and owned and ran Access IPD for almost 20 years before selling it. Alan now runs a small graphic design studio, Brandocracy. Alan, his wife Meg and son Daniel emigrated from South Africa in 2009 and started Firebrand Church in Port Orchard in 2014 which he currently leads with a team of elders.
Alan also hosts Mesotopia, an online forum for theological discussion.
